Thompson Square’s star continues to rise as the couple’s latest single, “If I Didn’t Have You” soared to #1 yesterday on both the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and the Country Aircheck/ USA Today chart, powered by Mediabase.
The duo’s second #1 accomplishment is especially poignant for Keifer and Shawna because “If I Didn’t have You” was co-written by the duo about the love between Shawna’s mother and father, in the wake of her father’s passing from cancer last year. The #1 accolades also fell on a date very special to the duo:
“Writing your first number one is an amazing goal to reach. Writing your first number one song inspired by the loss of your Dad and having it go number one on his birthday is a gift straight from heaven,” says Shawna. “We want to thank all of our fans and country radio for making this possible.”

Thompson Square’s latest #1 single comes on the heels of the duo’s second consecutive ACM win for Vocal Duo of the Year earlier this month in Las Vegas and amid critical praise for it’s recently released sophomore album, Just Feels Good, which marked the highest album debut of the duo’s career.
